January 3rd, 2006

January 3rd 2006 was a big contrast from January 3rd 2005. On this day last year, as my memory recalls, I was nearly a snatch theft victim. For the first time, I felt really scared. I fear for my life. But today, things turn out differently.

Today is a day I'll never forget. Throughout the 19 years I have lived, I finally got a chance to learn how to ice skate. Tell you the truth, I'm really bad at it. But I was suprised that it was rather easy to balance myself on the skates and 'walking' around the ick rink instead of skating (>.<) Thanks to the cool bunch of Perth youths, John, Amy and Irene. They were my mentors. It was them who prevent me from falling, and for a first timer, I only fell once, which was awesome as I expected to fall many many times (^_^)

Come to think of it, I'll have to go there and practise more. Now my legs are aching, haha, but it was a nice sport though. Guess I'll have to watch "Pride" again to learn how to ice skate like Halu Satonaka (o.O) Around 2pm, we went for lunch at Genki sushi. I didn't really like the food, because it tasted really BLAND, and I still LOVE my Sushi King, which is like my favourite Japanese food outlet, because it's nice and affordable. But I will never forget the time I dine in Funa Zushi with my god-sister and her family, that place has the best sushi I've ever tasted!!!!

After lunch, we head off to MegaLanes for a game of bowling!! Wow, that place got really slippery lanes! The ball will head straight at first and suddenyl diverge either to left or right after nearly reaching the pin *masuk longkang* Johnathan was indeed a great player, he bowls really well. Irene will somehow show off the 'hidden' skills after the 5th round, and Amy's bowling is unpredictable \(^o^)/

We even took some neoprints later. Seriously, this is the first time I took neo prints that is 'not so nice', as in we did not manage to get all our faces into the picture. Somehow, either my face or Irene's face will be 'chopped' off, so I had a print where can only see my hair and eyes (no nose, no mouth) (-___-)" And Irene has a pix with her face, except for the mouth. Unbelievable larr, since I am some sort of 'professional' neo print taker (I miss taking neo's in HEEREN). Haha, usually I take all can see face and body and all turn out to be super nice. This time arr, must be the machine's fault larr, !!baka desu!! I felt that it was like throwing my $$$$$ into the drain, but it was a nice picture though, so no REGRETS~
