A great experience~

So exams finished on Friday, I thought of paying a visit to my babysitter before she goes back to Batu Pahat. Ended up she invited me to join her family for a wedding dinner in Pulau Ketam. To tell you the truth, I haven't been to Pulau Ketam for the past 10-12 years or so. So I thought why not since I have to see for myself how much that little islan actually changed. So we went to North Port, board a small boat which was chartered by the couple who got married, and enjoyed the 1 hour boatride. What amazed me is that aunty seems to know everybody on board. Everywhere she turns, there will be someone she knows. I took the 1 hour to bond with the kids of Lay Kian jie. Cute kids she have there. The dinner was quite sumptuos. Of course seafood larr, especially crabs, prawn and etc etc. We even took a stroll down the little town in Pulau Ketam and went on a shopping spree. Things were super cheap there although the quality is being compromised.

So after reachign the mainland at around 10.45pm, me and Sonia jie head off to a temple nearby. She wanted to ask the priest about her future. Yea, it was a truly eye-opener trip. The priest cut his tongue with a knife and dabbed his blood on a cloth charm, then gave it to my god-sister. Then some more perform some weird actions. All that made me feel how come people are always hoping that things will change when they pray to a deity created by man. I slept in her hosue that night and we had the time to chat and chat. But gosh, her house was full of mosquitoes and I came back with more than 10 bites. OUCH~

Sunday was pretty much as usual. Went to cousins hosue for wedding coz they had leftovers form the morning tea ceremony. The dinner went for wedding reception. Aiyo, the 'tai kam kor' was super cool. He sings with style, like a Ah Kua of course and flatters teases the family of the bride and groom. Haha, what a great night. Hmm, thats all I hafta write for now. Boy, it's so HOT in Malaysia now.
