Amazing China
Ni hao~ It has been 3 days since I flew back from Nanning, China. My first visit to China prove to be an interesting one. I've had my fair share of laughs, sightseeing, shopping, culture shock, and whatever else you can probably think off. My trip lasted 8 days, but the real adventure across the Guangxi province only lasted 6 days. Here's a summary of what I experience in China =)Day 1:Left for LCCT around 11am. When I reached there, I was amazed by how SMALL it was. Seriously, LCCT is like an oversized bus station. The facilities there were meant to be simple, thus cost saving. I was thankful enough that place had a McDonalds, obviously that was the restaurant with the highest traffic (who doesn't enjoy McD??) My flight to Nanning was pretty smooth. As I travelled with AirAsia, I arrived at a rather small airport, the Nanning Wuxu International Airport. Upon arrival, we left for a restaurant for dinner. Food was okay, but that restaurant actually kept a live turtle and some other exotic sea creatures in an oversized aquarium (they are TOO MEAN, aren't they???) I really pity the animals. After unloading our luggage at the hotel, me and the bachelors went for a walk around the shopping area. China is seriously OVER-POPULATED. Every corner you see, there's gonna be like tons of people around you. No wonder the 1 child policy is a must for the country.Day 2:Today, we had to endure a 4 hours ++ bus ride to see the most beautiful waterfall in China, the DeTian waterfall. Seriously, it was gorgeous, amid the fact that I had to endure motion sickness half way throuh the journey. I got my first taste of the ORIGINAL China toilet, NO DOORS (>.<) I was practically going crazy, I mean, how you expect me to pee when I can see others around me so clearly??? My privacy is clearly being invaded here!!! To add to the shock, it was not even a TOILET, just a cubicle with a drain, mind you, it's not even 1% close to the flush toilet in your house (@_@)At night, we went shopping at the shopping area. Things were not that cheap as I expected though (-__-)" We even went to a street where they had stalls selling local foods. The area was kinda dirty larr, with all kinds of seafood on display to attract customers. I even saw BBQ'ed civet cats hanging from the hooks of a stalls. Yucks, the Chinese really eat everyhing they can get their hands one ehDay 3:After another long trip on the bus, we reached an isolated area in Lipu. The hotel is surrounded by mountains, and it was one of the best hotels that I've ever stayed in. We had a chance to get upclose and personal with SNAKES too, like the King Cobra, python, rattle snakes and etc. Apparently, they were on sale. Once you buy the snakes, the owner will cook a delicious soup out of it. *yucks*During the night, there were performances by the hotel staffs. I nearly 'married' one of the cute guys there when they were having the mock wedding ceremony. The guy just dashed right to me and tried to convince me to marry him. Gah, I should have just accepted the offer. I thought he was kinda cute though *winks*Day 4:We visited one of the msot beautiful park in China, the Shangri-La. Seriously, it was so gorgeous. Seems like a fairyland to me. Then we proceed to YangShuo. Another nice town with lots of 'ang mohs'. For the 1st time, I saw so many 'ang moh's clustering around this small town of Yangshuo. There was even a street dedicated to the 'ang moh's, called the 'West Street'. I'm too lazy to write on, and I guess you are too lazy to read on also. So just see the pictures will do larr Xp

Best time ever~ Evergreeniez rocks!!!
Yesterday was most proabably the one of the 'rare' nights where I get to laugh heartily until my face turned 'tomato red' (I'm not joking!!!). It was also the first time where I get together with my colleagues for Pier's birthday dinner. The food was great, I felt honoured to have the most expensive meal on the table (lolz, the others just ate the normal western food, I got a mixed grill Xp) I was so wrong when I thought Station 1 was like Kim Gary, a typical Hongkie restaurant. They even had playing cards and UNO Stacko thingy. I saw other tables having mini chess sets as well. Naturally, the crankiest guy of our group, Alson came up with some witty game. Although I was hesitant at first, but it happens to be one of the most memorable times in my life while playing a card game..... hehe Boy oh boy, ain't Alson lucky??? He got his wish, and I bet he can't sleep at night. Poor Pier (-__-)" Being the birthday boy does not mean you get what you want eh (^_<) Evergreeniez, love you guys <3

Hazy dayz~
Once again, my beautiful country is plagued by haze. It seems that every year at this time the haze will make its comeback, 'courtesy' of our neighbour Indonesia for their open forest burning. I felt as if I'm gonna choke to death with the haze which is kinda bad today (x.x)Yesterday, I got a suprise from Yen Ling jie. She delivered some good news which I have seem to completely forgotten. Her WEDDING!!! How can I even forget her wedding??? I felt honoured to be one of the band of 'chi mui', although I'd hope to be offered the position of the bridesmaid (yea yea, I know, perhaps I'm too old for it, anyway I'm not close enough to her to be offered that position, lolz) In my lifetime, I've only been a bridesmaid once. And that was 10 years ago!!!! How fast time flies~Life has come to a halt for me so far. With my exam results not being released just yet, I can't plan anything. Even if I fail or pass, I still need to know!!!! This waiting is agonizing, and with some aunties asking about my results, I just feel like dying if I fail my papers *sigh* For now, I can't wait to leave for China in 2 weeks time!!! Zhong guo, wo lai le!!!
