Ostrich Steak (-__-)"

Yesterday, I went for a special dinner with my family and also a guest to Windmill, a Western restaurant. Wahh~ Dad said I could order anything, so of course I go for the more "expensive" items on the menu. Before we went there, I had made up my mind what I wanted to order, yeap, Ostrich Steak. I ate ostrich meat once before and it was so yummy and tender. And I thought things will be the same. Boy am I so wrong.

The steak finally came, with colourful side dishes of Jacket potato, brocolli, and a tomato...... The steak was all covered in black pepper sauce. Ok, I took my knife and started slicing through. "Slice, slice, slice.....(O.o)" eh, why the meat so hard to cut one??? Nevermind, slice again". I 'knifed' through my steak for another few seconds. Finally, that small lil' portion broke free from the rest. I put it in my mouth and.....YIKES!!! how come so hard to chew one??? Chew..chew..chew... Alamak, if a grandfather ordered this hoh, he might as well bid sayonara to his teeth. It was one of the toughest meat I've ever had.

After that night, I swore never again to order ostrich steak. So so hard to chew, I wasted a lot of energy just to even cut it, and tons of energy chewing it. Eating ostrich steak can be really exhausting at times.

A trip to the hair saloon~

Saturday was a relief for me when it finally came. Do yo know how tough it is for me to wake up 7.30 am in the morning for 4 consecutive days just to attend 9 am classes? Man, 1 or 2 days oklarr, 4 days straight is tiring sia.... (>_<) Luckily Mr Lee had "re-scheduled" our classes for the 4th time and now I'm pretty happy with the current classes. Before that, those past 2 weeks of college had been "messy". Classes "clashed" and everybody was confused (O.0)??? We were like lost little sheeps and keep asking the lecturers "Eh, tomolo got class a not arr?" "Got arr, what time arr? Confirm a not arr?" and etc etc etc.

Let's snap out of the past and zoom into Saturday. A typical Saturday for Debbie means going to the gym in the morning for a workout, then have brunch with mummy. Last Saturday, we even drop by my god sister's saloon for a hair cut. My sister was drop dead gorgeous as usual, especially when she's a mother of 2!!! She has a much much better figure than I have (-___-)" Mummy had to dye and cut her hair, me had a great hair wash & massage. Wah, syoknya!!!!!

After saloon trip, we went to pick Li Let up to go to Jusco shopping. There was like tons of people there. Human jam, my chosen term for the scenario whereby many many people crammed themselves into one "small" bookstore and it was it fun, way NO!!! No more playign a fool this week. All the subjects are pretty tough and me and Reuben had to cancel our plans to go Singapore coz the time was just not right (~_~)" NExt time lorr.......

A new arrival~

9th of May ---> Was pretty much a jolly good day. Why is this so?? Coz it's the day my little angel came to the world. Yeap, you've seen her pictures in my blog. How adorable rite???? Oklarr, I'm sounding too much like her mother larr. Nonono, I did not gave birth to that little angel, my god sister did all the "hard work" and I just enjoyed the "fruit" of her labour.

10th of May ---> Was pretty anxious to see that little angel. So spend the whole day helping my godmom to get her things and bring it all to my god sister's home. Drove here and there around South Klang. Wah, when I saw that lil' angel, she had her eyes opened to looked at all those who loved her. She's such an angel~

Ok, so for the next few days, things are back to routine stuff again but then, life is too be enjoyed~

16th of May ---> This is the day where I will have the 1st full-day class in my 2nd term of 2005. Classes were boring at first, but how can I say mum's class was boring?? Yeap, you heard it right. My mum is teaching me in college. Not only 1 subject, 2 sia!!!!! How many of you have your mums teaching you and your friends when you are in college??? Alright, maybe a few has, but there maybe NONE also. It feels awkward larr, I see her at home, I see her at college, now I see her in my lectures as well~ Mathematically speaking, I see her around 17 hours a day (minus my sleeping time).

Oh boy, we'll see how well my mum a.k.a Ms Helena the lecturer brings a difference in my college life now~

A great experience~

So exams finished on Friday, I thought of paying a visit to my babysitter before she goes back to Batu Pahat. Ended up she invited me to join her family for a wedding dinner in Pulau Ketam. To tell you the truth, I haven't been to Pulau Ketam for the past 10-12 years or so. So I thought why not since I have to see for myself how much that little islan actually changed. So we went to North Port, board a small boat which was chartered by the couple who got married, and enjoyed the 1 hour boatride. What amazed me is that aunty seems to know everybody on board. Everywhere she turns, there will be someone she knows. I took the 1 hour to bond with the kids of Lay Kian jie. Cute kids she have there. The dinner was quite sumptuos. Of course seafood larr, especially crabs, prawn and etc etc. We even took a stroll down the little town in Pulau Ketam and went on a shopping spree. Things were super cheap there although the quality is being compromised.

So after reachign the mainland at around 10.45pm, me and Sonia jie head off to a temple nearby. She wanted to ask the priest about her future. Yea, it was a truly eye-opener trip. The priest cut his tongue with a knife and dabbed his blood on a cloth charm, then gave it to my god-sister. Then some more perform some weird actions. All that made me feel how come people are always hoping that things will change when they pray to a deity created by man. I slept in her hosue that night and we had the time to chat and chat. But gosh, her house was full of mosquitoes and I came back with more than 10 bites. OUCH~

Sunday was pretty much as usual. Went to cousins hosue for wedding coz they had leftovers form the morning tea ceremony. The dinner went for wedding reception. Aiyo, the 'tai kam kor' was super cool. He sings with style, like a Ah Kua of course and flatters teases the family of the bride and groom. Haha, what a great night. Hmm, thats all I hafta write for now. Boy, it's so HOT in Malaysia now.
