Mentally overload!

It is just like any other routine job. Very simple, easy, and anybody can do it. The why can't I master it after being at this job for almost 2 weeks? Going to work is like stepping into a warzone for me these days, why is that so???

1. I am not adequately equipped with the 1 and only weapon I need (extensive knowledge)

2. I tend to forget my weapons, and usually go to 'war' empty handed, resulting in being defeated by the 'enemies' very badly

3. I am dumb, I don't get things right even after I made the 2nd mistake

4. I don't have a strategy, hence I will lose in the war.

Conclusion: I am just very bad at my job (x.x)

Legally, I am an adult. Hitting 21 last year was supposed to mean I am legally entitled to do certain stuff that only 21 year olds and above are allowed to... hehe, I'll leave you to imagine of the so-called 'priviledge' access every 21 year old is granted in this worldly world.

So, people, 21 means can vote larr. True, but since I came back, I did not know I need to register like 1 year before only they can 'update' your name into the electors roll. Crazy meh, need to take few months to a year to actually update some simple data like this. I know larr, maybe got billions of new voters, but then pretty unbelievable lar when I actually found out about this.

What I thought was to register myself in February (means last month) then I can be eligible to vote like tomorrow. Mana tau when I check on the internet, then I found out last year mid-year they had this campaign to sign new voters up. Mid year last year leh, elections is on March 8, so memang kena tunggu lama kalau nak jadi voter larr.

Kalau ini macam, means I nevermind lar. As a good citizen, I decided I wanna take a longer time to think who should my precious 1 vote go to in the future. I was amused to see the EC chairman's house kena splashed by red paint. True enough, I also wanted to ask him what happens to the special election ink. Throw into rubbish bin, or return the goods to the supplier and ask for refund???

Malaysia Boleh! Election Boleh! yalah tu, semua pun boleh. Lebih baik bukan cakap kosong. Have a nice election people. Say hello to our new government this coming 8th March 2008. It's bound to create history, or should I say repeat history.

A New Week, A New Beginning

Life seems so "happening" for me at this point. Not that I have fun-packed activities going on around me 24/7, I just can't believe the things I went through within 1 week. Last Tuesday itself I was working in CHC, and this Wednesday, yes this Wednesday (05/03/2008) I will start off as an intern with Vichy.

Now you may be asking, hey, I am technically a fresh grad, why go for an intern position??? Well who knows, I might want to go back to UK in July to work and attend my graduation ceremony. But then again, depending on my performance with Vichy, I might progress further than expected. God must have really took care of me, I even met Mr GM on my way for my 2nd interview just outside the office building. Mr GM is one of the nicest guy I have met, he acknowledged that he remembered me after 1 year of my absence and was as humble as ever.

I proudly salut you, Mr GM, and I look forward to joining your organization soon~ Hope eveything I wish for may come true. Hardwork + faith + patience = Accomplished mission!

Day 2, new work, new life

Day number 2 is significantly different from day 1. Significantly different because I learned so much new things that my head hurts at the end of the day. UBS and DOME will make my head spin 360 degrees for a few days because it has so MANY steps. I believe if I can conquer it within 1 week, I am a champion for sure!!!!! Not to mention how many people you have to alias with and how busy the warehouse is, it will take its toll on my brain for sure! (x.x)

God, please give me the strength to conquer the devil inside me. And please, please let me pass my final exam and achieve at least a 2:1 for my degree.... Or else, I am as good as dead. The end!

Working life begins, exactly one month since I 'balik kampung'

26 January 2008: My flight KL??? touched down in KLIA at 3.30pm, my first time stepping back into this part of the world since I left Malaysia exactly one year ago...

20 February 2008: I got my very first 'last-minute' interview at Loreal HQ in PJ uptown, my dream company. I was excited, yet unsure about what to be expected. Overall, the interview went on well, just that I stumble upon a few personal questions. I hope they will let me proceed on to the 2nd interview.

26 February 2008: I start working as an assistant at my uncle's shop in Kapar, with the logistic department. Obviously, the first day is the most boring day (as expected, I can still remember my first day at my previous 2 jobs) I hope to learn more on this job and be absolutely awesome with it.

I met my two little babies in Klang as well. Lay Pay's Ming Jie was cute as ever, but naughty. Sonia's boy was pretty good during his first few days in this world, but what will he turn into when he grows up is a really good question. Haha, I miss my UK life and my friends back there. Everyone has returned to UK except me, EXCEPT ME!!!! I hate it, I want to be back as soon as possible in UK. I miss my little 'piggy' there............................

Chinese New Year came and gone just like that, one more year has come for the Chinese calendar. This year will definitely be a challenge to me, almost graduating with no specific aims of what to do, where to go and how to achieve whatever I want. Life, obviously seems so clueless to me now.

Being back in Alor Star is definitely good, seeing all my little nephews and nieces growing up is awesome. The weird thing is, I dreamt I was giving birth yesterday. Scare the hell out of me, luckily I woke up telling myself I am NOT pregnant yet..... Lolzzz

Benjamin has finally been laid to rest. I still can't believe he is gone just like that. No one knows how or what happened. What we know is that he has left this mortal earth of ours for somewhere else. Somewhere much more promising. Somewhere all of us hope to be at when our time comes.

At this time, I understood now how millions of people kept asking if God is so good, why did He let this or that happened? 9/11 and the tsunami made people doubt God. Some lost their faith. Others just chose to believe He does not exist anymore.

I don't know about others. What I know now is I want to finish my studies, hopefully get good grades, board that KLM flight and land safely in KLIA. I want to meet my cool parents, my "little" brother and all my dear friends.

I miss you all~

Hiya.... I know, it has been ages since I updated everyone on my life. So what can I say? Been here nearly 10 months now, I also know my time in Uni and in UK is coming to an end. Indeed, I do feel sad on the thought of leaving UK, but I alos can't wait to go back and meet up with people that I love and care about....

Uni life is getting busier, but on the other hand I am starting to slack more. Working life is getting easier, got lesser working days and will stop working in end December. Then, I will prepare to leave UK to go back to Malaysia.

Last few months have been great, life for me took a huge turning point during the second semester and I can't really ask for more. Been through hell during first semester, the second semester seems too good to be true (^^)

It's been ages since my last post. Just got back from work, so I thought, why not update a little bit on what's happening in my life?

Work wise, it's alright, although sometimes I really honestly believe it's never a fair place here. Sometimes I can't help but to hate it so much, but I'm only working for the money, not for my future career. I even have in mind when I want to quit, which shows how uninterested am I to further my career in this field, or company.

School wise, I'm still waiting for my results. Please God, grant me at least a 2:1 in my final overall results. I really work hard for it!

Life wise, I'm pretty contented. Since working, I met a lot of new people, and have a good group of friends who always look after me and we hang out quite often. Feel pretty lucky to be blessed with this group of friends, coz without them life would be boring and lifeless!!!

Those who have noticed would have known it's been ages since I went online. Yeapz, loaded with a super tough assignment and 2 exams, there wasn't any time to play, although I do admit I did watch a couple of movies and log on to Youtube occasionally for my daily dose of entertainment. Yes, finally, the fateful day has arrive. My last paper today was quite alright, I just hope the results can reflect all the effort I put in.

In a way, I'm glad I came to UK to study. I don't think I would have survived in Aus, 3 papers is good enough to damage me. I have been sleep deprived for perhaps 2-4 weeks. It was really driving me to the edge, making me push my limits.

Anyway, I pulled through. Now it's time for me to really enjoy summer. Summer, here I come~ Do nudge me if you ever see me online, I know we haven't chat for ages. Muakzz

Being so very vain, I had to name the theme of my birthday this year as gorgeously 21. Not exactly the fact that I am super hot or super gorgeous like Jessica Alba or whoever who top the 100 most beautiful people list in the world, but then I'd love to feel great forever, lolz Xp Lolz....

My birthday started kinda boringly, but ended awesomely. Thanks to the people at Precinct, namely Siew Ching, Mary, Tom London, BBC Tom, Pei Wen, Jimmy, O Ming and Yao for being there with me to commemorate this significant coming of age.

And I had 2 cakes as well, which is not that all bad =) I'm really glad they are here for me, at least I didn't have to spend it all alone in All Saints. Thanks to all those who remembered and text or call me, I was touched and really happy.

This week has been one of the most exciting week for me since ages. I had my very 1st taste of BBQ in UK with the guys at Precinct. And I had an awesome time, they really prepared loads of yummy stuff. And coz there's probably about 10 of us, it was just nice and fun~ We used one of the smallest portable BBQ pit in the world to cook all the yummy stuff which includes squids, stingray, chicken, hotdogs and yummy fried rice. Wah, really had a great time (^o^)v

My 2nd BBQ was alright, nothing much to eat, more of a social thingy, but I hardly even know anyone there. Honestly, I felt odd being there, didn't have anyone to talk to except for Wei Siong and gang, but hey, at least I met a few new people as well.

And today, we send Wei Siong and Matt off to the airport. Do come back faster guys, we'll miss you so very much Xp

Man, its been ages since I last updated this tiny space of mine. Well, to think about it, nothing much has happened. Seriously, life can't get anymore lame than what I am going through now, so to speak. Uni life wasn't supposed to be like this, seriously....

Anyway, I was reading about the article in The Star about the current state of Klang. I love Klang, honestly I do, for it's food and shopping mall. All the more, I hate Klang as well, as there's just too many useless people in our communnity trying to earn a living by snatching our hard-earned possessions!!!

If you ask me to buy my breakfast or lunch at the shop just outside my house, I'd rather drive. It's not even safe to step out of your own home, and I sincerely believe in the future it also isn't safe to stay at home alone anymore, considering how 'brilliantly clever' the robbers or thieves can get these days.

How on earth are we suppose to survive safely in Klang now??? Any suggestions???

London, the city for everything!!!

London, the name itself sounds so posh and mighty, and yet, after a long dream of going there, I was actually able to be there for the past few days. The moment the bus drove into London, I was in awe. LONDON IS AWESOME!!!! Despite the 7 hours bus journey, I will definitely go down to London once again cause I only saw a handful of stuff when I was there.

I reached there on a Wednesday night, so on Thursday the sightseeing began. Thanks to my lovely and kind cousin sister, Hui Lian. First, we went down to Bayswater to have some Malaysian food at the Malaysian hall. Ohh, I really miss all the spicy Malay food. The price is also one-to-one ler, better don't compare or else heart pain ohhh.... The we moved on to Oxford Street, where all the shopping is done. There were tons and tons of shops there, from cheap stuff like Primark to high-end goods like Gucci and Prada. I even got a chance to visit Chinatown and Harrods. Harrods is awesome, everything looks so gorgeous in it, not to mention the 1 million pound Easter egg diamond necklace as well as the Dodi and Diana memorial.

Not only that, there's this shop called the Japan shop or something, they have the best sushi I've ever eaten.. (yummy) I must go there again next time, IF I can remember where it is. On Good Friday, we head off to a car boot sale, where people sell their unwanted stuff. You'll be amazed to see what people actually sell there, macam-macam ada. Some people even put up old bra's for sale (crazy wei, who wants to wear 2nd hand bra, luckily no 2nd hand panties were seen there)

Saturday should be the highlight of my trip, went down to Central London to meet my friend, Jonathan. He brought me to all the famous London landmark, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, London Eye, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden and etc.... We walked so much, and my shoes weren't helping as well.

Sunday, my last day to travel around, was supposed to be boring but turned out to be so MUCH FUN!!! In Hammmersmith, everything was closed, luckily Karen asked me to go to Stables Market where all the buzz is... It was such a COOL place, you get to see all sorts of people and all sorts of things... And that was where I shop also, lolz... I'm just a shopping addict. I was surpised there were even people selling goods from Thailand and Indonesia there. There were tons of different food on sale there as well, reminds me of Malaysia's Petaling Street, just that Stables Market is WAY WAY CLEANER lerr....

It has been snowing for the past 2 days!!! Really, at first it was all the 'oohs' and 'aahhs' coming out from my mouth, really, it's wonderful. Then when the snow+strong winds come directly at you in full force, it will freeze you like mad and you'll be cursing the snow+wind in no time.....

Yea, that's what I have been going through these 2 days. I didn't have a chance to have a snowball fight yet simply because there's no one to play with me =) Maybe I should stay over at Precinct when the snow is thick enough to have a real snowball fight with them!!!

Last Monday, I spent most of the day in Precinct, it was really fun although I was doing my work most of the time there. The atmosphere is so friendly and lively, such an opposite to my home in All Saints!!! Gosh, I just with I know these bunch of people much earlier. They reminded me of my college life, when we used to go for trips together, or 'makan' together....... If I would have entered Uni earlier, I'd be able to travel around Europe with them already!!!!!

I went to Washington church again yesterday, my 2nd visit, and after church we had a communal meal. Well, the 2nd week was much better than the first, so yea. Good food, good people, nice building, what more could I actually ask for??? And there is this lovely brother Joseph who so willingly drove all the way down from Washington to Sunderland just to fetch me to church. Really must thank him for his effort.

Church is really small, about 20 people usually, but feels like one big family. Plus, this church is actually a community centre and even got computer room sia, can access internet and print some more =) But I don't really have the time to utilise the facilities anyway except when we stay back for communal meals???

Anyways, brother Joseph brought me on a short tour of Durham when he was fetching Godlive, Abby and Emmanuel back to their residence. Durham is awesome, I will go there someday~ The cathedral and castle is gorgeous!!!

And he also brought me to have a closer look at the Penshaw monument, which is really just an ancient structure larr, but it looks cool~ Hehe

Finally, I have taken enough pictures to inspire me to blog about my so-called life in Sunderland UK. Right now I am blogging from the St. Peter's library, and everything is just so nice except for the very 'i-don't'care-about-anybody' couple behind me love talking like nobody's business and kissing away. Seriously, I really want to 'muntah'. Geli betul sia~ Get a room people!!! The library is for you to study, not to court each other??? And you call yourselves university students??? Prrfff!!

Okok, enough of my nonsense! When I first came to UK, I am fortunate enough to meet with nice people like Wei Siong, Pei Wen and many others =) If it wasn't for them, I seriously have no idea how to go on with my life in Sunderland. So for the past 3 weeks, apart from settling down and getitng familiar with my surroundings, there wasn't much to do. I attended Gavin's birthday celebration in a Thai restaurant in Newcastle, as well as attended 2 CNY parties.

First party: Stadium of Light, organized by Chinese Student Society. Overall, it was a good party. Everyone was well dressed up. I wished I was able to bring the whole collection of my clothes here, I don't have enough nice clothes to wear *sniff sniff* Even though Sunderland is a relatively small town, people here do dress up ya know. So we had lion dance, a few performance and also very 'lousy' chinese food for dinner. But then again, who cares about the food. Although the ticket cost me like 7 pounds, I guess it's all worth it as I get to meet more new people from all over the world at the party. So overall I am satisfied~

Second party: The Royalty, by Malaysian Student Society. Was on a smaller scale, but I'd prefer this coz you get to mingle with the people you know. Moreover, food was delicious although I did not get to eat much, (not enough food sia, we have an overwhelming crowd) It was fun just hanging around at the party. I ate loads of fortune cookies (that's my dinner) so, I better get more and more fortunate after this (^^)

Life in the UK!!

I guess most of you are wondering what it's like for me to be in the UK for the past 2 weeks or so. I haven't really update my blog as I can't access internet form my current room at all. Which is definitely a hassle as I need to come down to University to go online every single day (>.<)

The university is a very nice place, and despite what I have gone through for the past 2 weeks (all sort of confusion and trouble and everything you can think of that an international student would get their heads all filled with), I have finally settled down and will commence classes beginning 20th February. And *keeps fingers cross* I hope everything will go on smoothly from here.

If you think it's cool being here, for me the first 2 weeks ain't cool at all. Partly because I came here alone and had to start making friends all over again and build a friendship network from scratch. Thank God for letting me meet Wei Siong, as through him I met many other nice people =) Thanks Wei Siong *hugs*

This semester till July, I will only have another classmate, meaning there will only be 2 of us in the class throughout this half year. I am thankful to have found another good friend in my classmate, and we hang out a lot together as we have only got each other doing the same course.

If you guys want to see pictures of UK, I regret to say I have none at the moment. Coz there is nobody to take pictures for me marr, so all the pictures I have now is pictures of myself (being so vain, I know) Nevertheless, I will try and upload more pictures once I participate in more activities.

For now, I just can't wait to start studying. I miss study life =p

Farewell people~

Today we had a 'mini' farewell for me at church. I was suprised, I wasn't even expecting a cake (^^) The cake was good, thanks a lot to all the youths at chuch!!! Although I can't have the proper farewell like we always do for the youths (e.g potluck or makan-makan) but hey, I'm fine with just a simple farwell like today!!!

I guess I'd prefer the low-profile kind of farwell, after all, I'll be away only for 1 year leh.... Although I wish it was much longer...... Yes, I'll miss my cili padi, my spicy indian food and nasi lemak, and the variety of Malaysian food that I have been savouring all these years. So when I come back a year later, I think I'll be indulging in everything I could possibly get my hands on. People, make sure you remind me not to over-eat hoh at that time!

It's 5 more days to my flight out of Malaysia to Sunderland. I'd really hope it'll be a good experience. Below are the people I'd personally like to thank:

1. Li Hong jie, for being so very nice to me all these times, and everything that you gave me
2. Pier, I really appreciate what you have done for me
3. Uncle Lawrence and aunty Peng, for being so kind
4. Uncle Steven and aunty Hooi Ling, I can't remember how many thank you's I've said to bopth of you, but 'thank you' once again for all the presents I've received from both of you over the years
5. My big bro Reuben, for being a great listener and supporter
6. And last but not least, to everyone who has wish me well and treated me like a friend, arigatou~

I am so very blessed! =)
